Author Interview – Keira Andrews

A few weeks ago, I asked my good friend and amazing author Keira Andrews if she’d like to do a fun interview for me. She graciously agreed, so I tried to give her some questions that were out of the norm. “Where do you get your inspiration?” can only be asked so many times, amirite?

1. What’s your favorite line from any movie?

“A life lived in fear is a life half lived.” FromΒ Strictly Ballroom, one of my fave movies ever.

2. Tell me about a unique or quirky habit of yours.

I like my beverages very cold. I’ll put Diet Coke, beer and milk in the freezer for a little while before I drink them. If they’re a bit frozen around the edges, that’s perfect. But for the record I don’t drink those three things at the same time!

3. Tell me something you hate doing. Why?

Laundry. It’s not that it’s hard, but it’s such a Sisyphean task. Not a big fan of doing dishes for the same reason. It never ends!

4. If I came to your home and looked in your refrigerator, what would I find?

Hmm, let’s see. Cheese, sour cream, sliced meat, kale, coleslaw, carrots, eggs and Diet Coke.

5. Describe your favorite pair of PJ’s.

I usually wear a big T-shirt to bed. I have a baby blue Captain America shirt that’s soft and a little bit too big. I practically live in it when I’m at home (which is most of the time since I’m lucky enough to work from my apartment).

6. Where would you not be caught dead?

I can’t think of anything. I have no shame!

Β If there’s anyone who hasn’t yet read Keira’s gay Amish angst series yet, I HIGHLY recommend you do so.Β  Isaac and David are not to be missed.

  1. I loved both books. Can’t wait for A Way Home. It’s almost release day. Yay!!! πŸ™‚

My least favorite thing to do is dusting. I can vacuum all day long, but dusting is so tedious. Maybe it’s because I’ve accumulated too much stuff over the years. πŸ™‚ I also dress the same way around the house. It’s all about being comfortable. πŸ˜‰

    1. I’m also waiting (not so) patiently for A Way Home!

I feel like I’m dusting constantly. I have three dogs that track in so much dust and dirt from outside that it’s a never-ending chore.

      1. I know what you mean! I have a German Shepherd and a Siamese cat. The dog definitely tracks in plenty of dirt. They both shed, but I still love them. πŸ™‚ Luckily I have a Dyson vacuum cleaner for animal hair.

  2. I loved this series, and I LOVED Isaac and David. I read the whole series in one weekend, and I was very sad to say goodbye πŸ™ I have a HUGE book hangover that nothing can seem to fill now πŸ™ I loved that these two guys loved each other and had hot sex, yet Keira still managed to keep their innocence intact as well! <3 Maybe in the future she can head back to California and see how David and Isaac are fairing. πŸ™‚

    1. It was a great trilogy! Keira has said that she wants to revisit them next year, so hopefully we’ll hear more about that!
